Magazines

Vice: Many of vices magazine covers are totally textless apart from the title with a provoking image filling the entirity of the cover, this very clearly i believe is a very good use of advertisement as its a good way to bring in a young audience looking for an alternative news source. the use of bright colours draws in a younger alternative as its a type of news magazine which is not commonly seen.

GQ: GQ unlike vice is very text based with the use of usually a man on the front cover who is usually successeful this is very effective as it shows the target audience men between 18-30 and its about selling a lifestyle, often the
articles are about famous men and what they are doing and overall advice, so the use of a succesful looking man on the front backed up with the use of only a few colours helps draw in the reader as the magazine seems serious.

Thrasher: Thrasher very clearly appeals to the skateboarding audience and its very good at what it does by having the magazine name thrasher taking up the entirity of the magazine cover usually in bold colours followed by a picture of a famous or up and coming skater ususally accompanied with surnames of famous skaters which presumably have had shoots of them skating inside to draw you in.
